This has absolutely nothing to do with the all-terrain durability, ruggedness, or traction of the product. There is a correlation with the cost of the item. The Wildpeak A/T3W from Falken is priced in the center of the spectrum, but maintaining hybrid performance characteristics; this is made possible thanks to the design of the tire.

The concept behind the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W was to create a tire that possessed both the robust performance of all-terrain tires and the refined characteristics of a highway tire. What I was most interested in learning about was how the tire performed on roads that were rather smooth. Is it simply hype, or is it actually able to provide a comfortable ride even at high speeds?

Is it true? Is the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W a smooth performer?

The simple answer is that it is. The ride is smooth and quiet whether it’s mounted on a large pickup truck like the RAM 1500 or the F-150, for example. At higher speeds, however, it does not have the same level of refinement as a set of H/T or highway tires. It is recommended that you purchase a set of H/T tires for your truck or SUV if the majority of your driving is done on paved roads. You’ll cut down on expenses, which is always a plus.

If, on the other hand, you utilize your truck for both work and play, you really can’t go wrong with the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W. In terms of their performance on a variety of different types of terrain, these tires are hard to beat. The Falken Wildpeak A/T3W’s road noise is going to have to be the Achilles heel of the tire, if there is going to be one. It is not the noisiest all-terrain tire available, and it certainly does not make a lot of noise when cruising at low to medium speeds. But you should be prepared for a little bit more tire roar as the pace increases.

However, this will be determined by the NVH of the car you are using. If you drive an older pickup truck or sport-utility vehicle, the cabin of your car will likely be invaded by a greater amount of road noise. When it comes to more recent models that have improved NVH tuning, however, the tire roar is just as annoying as a mosquito bite that does not cause dengue fever.

On the other hand, the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W is quite difficult to criticize about its smoothness. It is capable of providing robust performance when it is required, yet it is more refined when being driven normally. So far, so good.

What are the features of the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W?

The Falken Wildpeak A/T3W is a no-compromise all-terrain tire that has been painstakingly engineered by Falken. An outer apex sidewall is incorporated into its construction. Because of this, the tire will last longer and will be less likely to become damaged or punctured. Additionally, it functions as a heat barrier to provide a more reliable and smooth performance while driving on the highway.
